OLKLIN-SCL is a specially prepared polymer based treatment for the prevention of scaling in cooling systems, boiler and boiler feed lines by causing calcium and magnesium hardness to form a light mobile floc easily removed by blow-down.
For boilers, OLKLIN-SCL is used in conjunction with OLKLIN-OSL for corrosion prevention.
OLKLIN-SCL is normally maintained at concentrations between 20 and 100 ppm in the boiler water or re-circulating cooling water. The correct treatment level for deposit prevention depends on operating conditions, such as pH and operating pressure. The optimum treatment level for any plant will be specified by our technicians.
The viscosity of OLKLIN-SCL requires that it be diluted twenty times using clean, cold water before pumping. OLKLIN-SCL is non-corrosive to steel mixing tanks or dosing pumps.
OLKLIN-SCL is available in 50 Kg and 200 Kg containers.
Gloves and goggles should be worn when handling the concentrated solution. (See Material Safety Data Sheets for further information).
Store in dry place away from direct sunlight.
Spillages should be cleaned up rapidly; surfaces will become very slippery if wetted.
